Our story
From Flemings Cakes to Sareven — the same ovens, the same village.
Sareven Bakehouse has been a cornerstone of Thirroul Village for more than 40 years. The bakery began life as Flemings Cakes, run by Rick and Carol Fleming for over 35 years.
In 2010, Pastry Chef Steve White and his wife Sarah took over. They renamed it Sareven — a blend of Sarah and Steven— and continued the tradition of daily in-store baking the village had come to expect.
Today, the bakehouse is celebrated for its award-winning pies, freshly baked sourdough, and a wide range of cakes, pastries and breads — all made from scratch in-store, every day.
